Welcome back to The 4 Korners! This Atlanta-based band plays original jazz fusion they prefer to call, "Journey Music." Jazz Pensacola fans were thrilled by them in 2021 at a Jazz Gumbo. Band members Clarence "T-lee" Hill leads the group on keys with James "JT" Thompson on bass, Isaac "Ike" Thompson on guitar, and Jerrod "J-rod" Sullivan on drums. Originally from Bartow County, Georgia, this group has close connections with each other, and this cohesion comes through in their high-energy performances. 

Pat Casey and the New Sound       Sunday, April 2

"This Band ain't nothin' to mess with!"

Pat Casey and the New Sound out of New Orleans consists of several musicians who were nominated for the "Best of the Beat" awards by Offbeat Magazine in 2022. This exhilarating group performs original music fusing classic and modern Jazz with Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, and Funk as well as new arrangements of classic Jazz charts. Come hear Pat Casey on bass, Khris Royal on Saxophone, Ashlen Parker on trumpet, Julian Addison on drums, and Oscar Rossignoli on piano.

Matthias Williams                               Sunday, April 2

Saxophonist and composer, Matthias Williams wowed the Jazz Pensacola audience at a Gumbo last year. Both performer on Tenor Saxophone and a Music Educator, Matthias launched 3 singles in 2022 as "a beginning of new and wonderful things to come" as a recording saxophone soloist from the Isle of Spice.

ZAZU East                                                Sunday, April 2

A French gypsy swing band originally from Arizona bring musicians from Hattiesburg, Mississippi and New Orleans. ZAZAU was formed as a tribute to Django Reinhardt and features Marcelo Damon Lingle on guitar, John Saavedra on guitar, Bob Maksymkow on clarinet, and Steve Douglas on bass.

Cheryl Jones & Co. from Destin has been voted top awards by many magazines and has always been a popular draw.

The Steve Gilmore Quartet features three-time Grammy award winner, Steve Gilmore and Mike Levine to bring a Latin flavor to the afternoon.

Nobius, voted 2019 - 2022 "Best Wedding Band" by InWeekly Magazine, really knows how to get the crowd dancing.

Three brothers, Austin Paul, Jr., Aundre, and Andrew Conner raise the pitch even higher as AC3, a local favorite who opened for Karl Denson's Tiny Universe during the 2022 Foo Foo Fest.

The Greater Pensacola area is rich with excellence in music education, and we will get to hear the Band Director's Band, consisting of the area's high school band directors.

From Ft. Walton Beach comes the Downbeat Jazz Orchestra entertains audiences with the sounds of classic Big Band music.

Mid-morning on both days

Be sure to join us for performances by local and area middle school, high school, and college jazz bands. This is always a favorite time for families to cheer on the younger musicians who are carrying on the tradition of Jazz music.
